Over $105,000 Raised at Under the Sea
More than 425 people gathered for our Under the Sea Gala Celebration on September 25th and enjoyed a casual and fun evening dedicated to raising funds for two important causes: The Pink Ribbon Place, a program of Inland Agency, providing free breast cancer screenings to low-income women; and Riverside Community Health Foundation’s Teen Health & Youth Development Programs, providing 6,000 interventions annually to teens by giving them essential information needed to make responsible choices.
Our annual fundraiser was once again a great success, owing largely to our sponsors, who lent their names and financial support: Riverside Community Hospital, The Auxiliary of Riverside Community Hospital, Mr. Dick Alden, Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, Riverside Medical Clinic, and Sodexo. La Bodega Wine & Spirits generously provided wine tasting, The Food Matters served a delicious dinner, and Walter’s Mercedes-Benz, BMW of Riverside, and Team Xtreme Inflatable Boats presented a fabulous car & boat show. Teen Challenge was a tremendous help this year, providing an army of volunteers and our yellow submarine. We also appreciate Premier Service Bank once again providing the cashier volunteers.
We would like to thank the 2010 Gala Committee, chaired by the dedicated Carol Karidakes: Melissa Barsumian, Sharon Brown, Judy Carpenter, Margo Chabot, Suzy Clem, Chrisann Coustenis, Cherie Curzon, Mike Dahdul, David Fisher, Becky Foreman, Darlys Gabrielson, Sylvia Howell, Hekima Jackson, Melanie Jones, Ralph Joseph, Cathy Kienle, Randy and Martina Leivas, Leslie Nagby, Lisa Ramsey, Irene Richardson, Jacque Thurman, Becky Whatley, and all our junior volunteers.
